Padma Shri Dr. R.K. Dhiman Honored with ‘Karm Vibhushan Award’

Lucknow: Padma Shri awardee Dr. R.K. Dhiman, who was recently appointed as the President of AIIMS Patna, was felicitated with the prestigious ‘Karm Vibhushan Award’ by Sanatan Mahaparishad Bharat officials at SGPGI, Lucknow. Last year, the award was conferred upon Dr. S.N. Khanna.

During the ceremony, Dr. Dhiman shared his professional experiences in the field of medicine with the Council’s National President Bhawan Singh Rawat and National Vice President C.M. Pandey. On the occasion, Pandey requested Dr. Dhiman to help establish patient support helpdesks in Lucknow, Patna, and Delhi, to which he responded positively.

Council’s Women’s Wing General Secretary Babita Rai introduced the office bearers, while the Council also proposed that Dr. Dhiman take on the role of Patron of the organization, a proposal he graciously accepted.

The meeting also finalized the dates for the Council’s upcoming grand convention, scheduled to be held from October 25 to November 2, 2025. The nine-day event will feature a recital of the Shiv Purana, attracting saints, spiritual leaders, and devotees from across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhawan Singh Rawat and C.M. Pandey said that under Dr. Dhiman’s patronage, the organization would gain new direction and strength, while his expertise in healthcare would energize its service-oriented initiatives.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Anand Saxena, Jaydev, Vinod Rai, and many other officials.
