Lucknow — Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow, held a two-day Orientation Program to warmly welcome newly admitted students for the upcoming academic session. The event, marked by tradition and thoughtful engagement, aimed at familiarizing the students with the college’s ethos, policies, and academic culture.
The program commenced with the College Song followed by a prayer to Lord Jesus, invoking blessings for the new journey ahead. This was followed by an address from Principal Dr. (Maj.) Neerja Massey, who introduced the college President Dr. E.S. Charles, along with faculty members and academic staff across various departments.
Dr. Charles, in his keynote address, introduced the students to the rich legacy and traditions of the institution, highlighting the importance of discipline, decorum, and respect. He emphasized key expectations such as wearing the prescribed college uniform and maintaining a respectful attitude toward faculty and support staff.
Principal Dr. Massey extended a warm welcome and blessings to the new batch of students. She encouraged them to cultivate self-discipline and urged them to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness within the campus. She also gave a brief overview of the New Education Policy (NEP), stressing its student-centric approach and opportunities for holistic learning.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation introduced students to various co-curricular and extracurricular units within the college, including:

The orientation program also included briefings on the college sports facilities, award ceremonies, and internal assessment systems, helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of campus life.
On the final day, July 23, students will participate in the Portal Ceremony, followed by a guided tour of the college campus. Regular classes will commence thereafter, marking the official beginning of their academic journey at IT College.
