Lucknow: The Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE) of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, organized the Orientation-cum-Inaugural Function of the second batch (2025-26) of its Free Civil Services Coaching Program. The program was presided over by the Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor. Kunal Silku, Special Secretary, Department of Labour, Government of Uttar Pradesh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In addition, the dais was shared by T.N. Kushal, Former IFS Officer and Prof. Shashi Kumar, Coordinator, DACE, BBAU.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the portrait of Babasaheb.
While presiding over the ceremony, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal extended his best wishes to the students and remarked that the Civil Services Examination is not merely a competition but also a medium of nation-building. He emphasized that students must work with dedication, confidence, and a spirit of commitment to achieve their goals. He added that the university’s endeavour is to see its students excel in administrative services and contribute towards giving new direction to society.
Chief Guest Shri Kunal Silku, Special Secretary, Department of Labour, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in his address stated that preparation for civil services requires hard work, discipline, and a positive mindset. He inspired the students to remain focused and dedicated to their objectives.

Guest of Honour T.N. Kushal, Former IFS Officer, guided the students by sharing the strategy and framework for preparing for the Civil Services Examination and responded to their queries. Prof. Shashi Kumar, Coordinator, DACE, informed that the Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence has been established by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. He added that 100 students have been admitted this year and the coaching will be imparted by experts and competent faculty members. The program witnessed the enthusiastic presence of a large number of students, faculty members, and staff.
