Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, shopkeepers will have to write their names in the shops located on the Kanwar routes. The name and details of the shop owner will be written in it. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given this order on Friday. The government says that this decision has been taken to maintain the purity of Kanwar pilgrims. Apart from this, action will also be taken against those selling products with Halal certification.
There will be no confusion among Kanwariyas
Actually, Kanwar Yatra is starting from 22 July in UP. Every year 4 crore Kanwariyas go to Haridwar with water. In the state, Muzaffarnagar Police was the first to order shopkeepers to write their names outside the shops. The police argued that this would not cause confusion among Kanwar pilgrims. Meaning, the religion of the shopkeeper will be known.
After this order of Muzaffarnagar Police, many shopkeepers in the city had got their names written outside their shops. For now, the UP government has also approved the order of Muzaffarnagar police.
This is why Muzaffarnagar police gave the order
Swami Yashveer Ashram Maharaj, founder of Yoga Sadhna Kendra of Baghra, had warned that if the Muslim hotel operators on the Kanwar route do not write their names, then he will start a movement. He alleged that Muslims have opened hotels in the name of Hindu deities. This confuses the devotees.
After this, when the police investigated, 8 hotels were found which belonged to Muslims. The special thing was that the names of these hotels were in the name of Hindu deities. After this, Muzaffarnagar police had to issue this order.
