Supply Department Raids Illegal Gas Refilling Operation in Lucknow, Seizes 48 Cylinders
Lucknow: Acting on a tip-off, the supply department team, led by ARO Sadhana Srivastava, conducted a raid on an illegal gas refilling operation near the Mother and Child Health Center in Aishbagh Peeli Colony, within the jurisdiction of Bazar Khala police station. The raid disrupted the unauthorized activity, with two individuals at the scene fleeing upon the team’s arrival.
The team uncovered 44 domestic gas cylinders, 4 commercial cylinders, 4 empty cylinders, and equipment used for refilling, all left behind by the suspects in their hurried escape. This illegal gas operation posed a significant risk to public safety, as unauthorized gas refilling can lead to dangerous incidents.
The supply department has seized the recovered cylinders and refilling apparatus, and further investigation is underway to identify the individuals involved in this operation.
