NSG Hub to Be Established in Ayodhya for Enhanced Ram Temple Security

Yogi Cabinet Approves Major Security Infrastructure Boost

Lucknow/Ayodhya — In a significant move to bolster security around the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved the establishment of a dedicated hub of the National Security Guard (NSG) in the holy city. The decision marks a decisive step towards ensuring swift and robust response capabilities to any emergency or terror threat in the region.

According to the cabinet decision, an 8-acre plot in the Cantonment area of Tehsil Sadar, Ayodhya, will be leased to the NSG free of cost for 99 years. This land will be used to construct an NSG training ground and residential quarters for commandos.

The hub, once operational, will significantly enhance the rapid response capability of the elite NSG commandos in Ayodhya, especially in light of previous terror threats and incidents in the area. The proposal had been under consideration for some time, owing to the high-profile religious and strategic significance of the Ram Temple.

Why Ayodhya Needs an NSG Hub:

  • The Ram Temple is one of India’s most sensitive and high-security religious sites, drawing millions of devotees annually.
  • Ayodhya has a history of terror attacks, making it a critical location for elite counter-terror preparedness.
  • The presence of an NSG hub will ensure immediate response in case of any security breach or emergency situation.
  • The move aligns with the government’s broader vision of turning Ayodhya into a world-class spiritual and cultural destination while maintaining tight security.

Once completed, the NSG Ayodhya hub will house training facilities, operational command centers, and residential areas for commando teams stationed permanently in the city. This is expected to instill greater confidence among pilgrims and citizens and send a strong message regarding the state’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.

The Yogi government has consistently emphasized the importance of proactive internal security measures, and this latest move adds another layer of preparedness to its security architecture, especially in a city as significant as Ayodhya.
