Lucknow: The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has arrested a wanted accused involved in a house robbery case under the Gomti Nagar police station limits.
According to police officials, an FIR was registered at Gomti Nagar Police Station on August 7, 2025, alleging that the accused forcibly entered the complainant’s residence, broke open an almirah and looted cash and jewellery. The accused was also charged with verbally abusing and assaulting family members and issuing threats to life and property. The case has been under investigation since then.
Acting on specific inputs and under the directions of the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime and Headquarters), a police team traced and arrested the accused, identified as Anil Kumar Pandey (44), from the Bagdogra area of Darjeeling district in West Bengal.

Anil Kumar Pandey, a native of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, is being prosecuted under Case No. 348/2025 registered at Gomti Nagar Police Station under relevant sections of law. Police are also verifying his criminal history to ascertain involvement in other cases.
The arresting team included Sub-Inspector Kanchan Tiwari and Sub-Inspector Deepak Kumar Yadav.
