North Eastern Railway Lucknow Division Promotes Environmental Protection During ‘Cleanliness is Service-2025’ Fortnight

Lucknow: As part of the Indian Railways’ ‘Clean Festival’ theme, the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2025’ fortnight is being observed from 17 September to 2 October 2025. Under this campaign, the North Eastern Railway, Lucknow Division organized a tree plantation drive today at the Officers’ Dilkusha Club in Bandariyabag to promote a clean India and green environment.

The event saw participation from Divisional Railway Manager Gaurav Agrawal, Women Welfare Organization President Shruti Gupta, Deputy Divisional Railway Manager (Operations) Neetu, and other branch officers, all actively contributing to the plantation drive.

Speaking at the occasion, Gaurav Agrawal urged greater awareness towards environmental protection and cleanliness, emphasizing that “making cleanliness a part of daily life is the need of the hour. Tree plantation plays a vital role in maintaining environmental balance on Earth.” He appealed to railway staff and citizens alike to actively participate in safeguarding the environment.
