Noida Set to Develop New Deer Park: 132 Deer from 10 Species Planned; ₹40-Crore Project Gains Momentum

Noida: Noida is preparing to welcome a new wildlife attraction with the development of a dedicated Deer Park inside the Sector-91 Biodiversity Park. The project plan has been finalised, and officials expect the tender process to begin within the next 15 days. Once approvals are secured, construction will be allotted to the lowest eligible bidder and work will commence immediately.

The pace of the project has accelerated following the inauguration of the Jungle Trail on December 1. As per the timeline, authorities aim to complete the Deer Park within a year of awarding the work order.

132 Deer of 10 Species to be Housed

The proposed park will host 132 deer from 10 different species.

  • Three species will be imported from Africa, adding rare diversity to the enclosure.

  • The remaining deer will be sourced from zoos in Kanpur, Lucknow, Hyderabad and other Indian cities.

  • Deer rescued from the airport will also find a home here.

Wildlife experts are being consulted to ensure that the habitat closely replicates the natural environment required for each species.

A 30-Acre Mini Zoo Experience

Spread across nearly 30 acres, the park will offer visitors an experience similar to a mini zoological reserve. The estimated project cost is around ₹40 crore.

One of the key attractions will be the Sunset Safari, scheduled from evening until 10 PM. Visitors will be able to watch deer and water birds under specially designed spectrum lights. According to officials, these lights will create an ambient glow that allows clear visibility for visitors while maintaining a sense of darkness for the animals, ensuring they remain comfortable.

A Major Tourism Boost for Noida

With no existing deer park in Noida or nearby regions, this project is expected to become a unique ecological and tourism asset for the city. Positioned within the Biodiversity Park, it will add to the region’s green attractions and offer families, students and wildlife enthusiasts a new recreational space.

The upcoming Deer Park marks another step in Noida’s broader push to expand nature-centric tourism and conservation initiatives.
