New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Anmol Bishnoi, brother and close aide of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, following his deportation from the United States. Absconding since 2022, Anmol is the 19th accused to be arrested in connection with the terror-gangster syndicate allegedly operated by Lawrence Bishnoi.
Anmol Bishnoi was chargesheeted by the NIA in March 2023 after investigations confirmed his role in aiding designated terrorist Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in multiple acts of terror across India between 2020 and 2023.
According to the agency, Anmol continued to operate the gang’s international network from the US, coordinating with Bishnoi associates, facilitating targeted attacks, and orchestrating extortion rackets in India using ground operatives. The NIA further revealed that he provided shelter, logistics and financial support to shooters and other key members of the gang.

The arrest marks a major step forward in the ongoing investigation under case RC 39/2022/NIA/DLI, aimed at dismantling the nexus between terrorists, gangsters and arms smugglers, along with their funding channels.
