Lucknow : In a compassionate gesture to help people cope with the scorching summer heat, NGO ‘Inayat’, led by its founder Nandini Goyal, collaborated with GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, to distribute earthen pots to the school’s support staff under their ‘Beat the Heat’ campaign.
On the afternoon of May 30, 2025, members of Inayat visited the school campus and handed over handcrafted clay pots to the auxiliary staff, offering them a natural and eco-friendly way to keep drinking water cool during the peak of summer. Commonly referred to as mini non-electric refrigerators, these pots are known for their ability to retain water at a refreshing temperature without any electricity.
The initiative was warmly received by the school staff, who expressed their gratitude and joy. More than the utility of the earthen pots, what touched the recipients was the thoughtfulness behind the gesture—an acknowledgment of their daily contribution and a sincere effort to improve their well-being.

Speaking about the initiative, Nandini Goyal said,
“At Inayat, we believe in bringing meaningful change to society through small but impactful actions. Distributing earthen pots is just one step toward helping economically disadvantaged individuals stay safe during extreme temperatures. We plan to launch several such campaigns in the future.”
The NGO emphasized that their mission is not just about providing physical relief but also about raising awareness, encouraging empathy, and uplifting the underprivileged through continuous community engagement.
In times when climate change and rising temperatures are major concerns, such localized, thoughtful actions go a long way in reinforcing the importance of sustainability and human kindness.
