Bareilly — Avinash Singh, the newly appointed District Magistrate of Bareilly, formally took charge at the Collectorate Treasury.
Outlining his priorities, Singh emphasized the effective implementation of government schemes and policies. He assured that a policy of zero tolerance would be adopted towards any breach of law and order.
“The district is currently performing well on the CM Dashboard, but we will work towards accelerating revenue-related tasks further,” Singh said. He also highlighted plans to improve the satisfaction feedback level in the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS).
To ensure timely resolution of public grievances, Singh instructed all district officials to hold public hearings at their respective offices from 10 AM to 12 noon every day. “Listening to people and resolving their issues promptly must be a top priority,” he said.
He further directed that all officials should conduct field visits at least three times a week to better monitor developmental projects on the ground. “Problems cannot be resolved simply by marking complaints as ‘seen’—officials must follow up with the complainant to ensure the issue has actually been resolved,” he asserted.
District Magistrate Singh also stressed on empowering women from self-help groups by creating livelihood opportunities for them. Special attention will be given to resolving the issues of those living below the poverty line on a priority basis.
Present on the occasion were Chief Development Officer Jag Pravesh, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Purnima Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Finance/Revenue) Santosh Bahadur Singh, City Magistrate Rajeev Kumar Shukla, Chief Treasury Officer Shailesh Kumar, along with other concerned officials.
