LUCKNOW – The newly appointed Director General of Home Guards, M.K. Bashal, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1990 batch, recently met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after taking charge of his new post. M.K. Bashal’s appointment as DG Home Guards was announced recently. Prior to this new role, he was serving as the Director General of Police for the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The meeting between the DG and the Chief Minister is considered a routine official courtesy call, and sources state that they discussed the operational strategies for the Home Guards department in the state.
