NCC Rank Ceremony Held at Avadh Girls’ Degree College

Lucknow: The NCC Rank Ceremony of the 19 UP Girls Battalion was held at Avadh Girls’ Degree College, with Colonel (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Pathak, Commanding Officer of the Battalion, gracing the event as the Chief Guest.

The program began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. College Principal Prof. Beena Rai delivered the welcome address, extending congratulations to the cadets. She emphasized that ranks are not merely symbols of honor and pride but also carry the responsibility of national service. Inspiring the students, she said that with discipline and hard work, they can carve out their identity and become role models for society and the nation.

Lieutenant Dr. Sarita Singh administered the oath to the newly appointed cadets.

In his address, Chief Guest Colonel (Dr.) Pathak highlighted the importance of discipline, determination, and regular physical exercise. He urged the cadets to remain focused and committed in their pursuits.

This year, Khushi Kumari was conferred the rank of Senior Under Officer, while Jagriti Kumari and Kumari Maya were promoted as Under Officers. Vanya Shukla, Anshika Shukla, Tabassum Iqbal, and Nishita Sahni received the rank of Sergeant. Shraddha Shukla, Shalini Singh, Diksha Singh, Isha Mishra, and Isha Macey were promoted as Corporals, while Muskan Yadav, Saniya Sharma, Naina, and Arpita Tiwari were conferred the rank of Lance Corporal. The selections were based on merit, attendance, leadership skills, and active participation in camps and activities.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Lieutenant Dr. Sarita Singh, followed by the NCC song and the National Anthem.
