National Unity Tour Arrives in Lucknow

Lucknow: The four-day National Unity Tour (SEIL TOUR), organized under the Inter-State Student Life Vision program, made its grand arrival in the city of Lucknow, the land of Lord Laxman, on 24th January. The tour, aimed at promoting national integration, is witnessing the participation of students from the northeastern states of India.

The travelers were warmly welcomed by ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) members at the Charbagh Railway Station. The students were greeted with garlands and tika (vermilion), marking the beginning of their visit to Lucknow.

Shashwat Sanskrit, the ABVP Lucknow Metropolitan Minister, spoke about the travelers’ backgrounds and the significance of the SEIL Tour. He informed that the delegation consists of 30 students from various northeastern states, including Assam, Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland. The students are embarking on this educational tour to experience the diverse culture and heritage of India.

On the first day of the tour, the students visited significant landmarks in Lucknow, including the State Legislative Assembly and the Lucknow Bench of the High Court. This excursion aims to provide them with insights into the political and legal framework of the country.

During the four-day trip, the students will visit several educational institutions and prominent locations in the city. They will also stay with local families to experience the culture and traditions of the region firsthand.

The tour organizer, Utkarsh Awasthi, emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting Indian culture and unity. He noted that the SEIL Tour plays a crucial role in familiarizing students from the northeastern part of the country with the social and cultural diversity of other regions of India. It is also an opportunity to reinforce the spirit of national unity and strengthen bonds among the country’s youth. The National Unity Tour is expected to leave a lasting impact on the participants, promoting mutual understanding and creating a sense of solidarity across different regions of India.
