Lucknow: The two-day National Seminar “Jagriti”, organised by the Professional Development Committee and the Lucknow Branch of CIRC of ICAI, concluded on August 31, 2025, at Hotel Dayal Gateway, Lucknow. The event witnessed the participation of nearly 800 Chartered Accountants from across the country.
ICAI National President, CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, attended as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the pivotal role of Chartered Accountants in nation-building and announced that ICAI’s scholarship fund for students has been raised from ₹100 crore to ₹500 crore. He emphasised that Artificial Intelligence should be seen as a supportive tool rather than a competitor, enabling professionals to simplify daily tasks. He also recalled the ICAI Central Council’s celebration of the 79th Independence Day at Pahalgam, which was appreciated by J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Applauding the strong presence of women members, he added that India will overcome global trade challenges such as US tariffs and emerge stronger.
Several Central Council Members including CA. Mangesh P. Kinare, CA. (Dr.) Anuj Goyal, CA. Gyan Chandra Mishra (Program Director), CA. Rajendra Kumar P., and CA. Jai Chhaira attended the seminar.

The conference featured eight technical sessions covering diverse professional topics, including Audit Reporting Standards, Capital Markets, Professional-to-Propreneurship transitions, Valuation, AI in accounting, GST law, and members’ queries related to portals. Eminent speakers such as CA. M.P. Vijay Kumar, CA. Himanshu Kapoor, CA. Vinod Gupta, CA. Dhruv Seth, CA. Puneet Sakhuja, and CA. Dharmendra Shrivastava addressed the sessions.

CA. Anurag Pandey, President of ICAI Lucknow Chapter, credited the success of the event to the tireless efforts of the managing committee and said such gatherings inspire CAs to enhance their professional contributions.
The seminar concluded with acknowledgment of the efforts of Vice President CA. Charu Khanna, Secretary CA. Rishabh Mishra, Treasurer CA. Ashish Gupta, CICASA President CA. Ashwani Jaiswal, and other executive members, who played a key role in making “Jagriti” a grand success.
