National PG College organizes career development program

Lucknow: Under Mission Shakti Phase 5, while conducting the program under the “Udaan” career development and women health awareness program by Dainik Jagran in joint aegis of National Service Scheme under the leadership of Principal of the college Professor Devendra Kumar Singh at National PG College, Lucknow, project coordinator Prashansa Gupta told the students not to be shy about sanitary pads, break the silence and speak openly.

She said that health related challenges can be easily overcome with self-confidence. Gynecologist Dr. Liyana Khatoon explained the importance of reproductive health and hygiene during menstruation to the students in the program Udaan with Stayfree by Dainik Jagran, Lucknow and gave information about the correct use of pads.

She gave information about the size and selection of sanitary pads, changing it on time and disposal. Free sanitary pads were distributed to the girl students, so that essential hygiene can be ensured during menstruation. Rashtriya Seva Yojana Program Officer Dr. Archana Singh said that by keeping in mind your personal hygiene, you can become strong, capable and self-respecting and can face all the challenges that come in life.

In this program, along with the girl students, women teachers of the college, Dr. Aparna Singh, Dr. Shalini Lamba, Dr. Manish Khanna and other teachers participated. Rashtriya Seva Yojana Program Officer Pranati Mishra and Naina from Dainik Jagran team helped in the successful conduct of the program.
