National Football Championship Concludes Grandly at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya A.M.C., Lucknow

Lucknow: The 54th Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) National Football Championship (Girls U-17) concluded with great enthusiasm and grandeur  at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, A.M.C., Lucknow. The prestigious sporting event witnessed spirited performances, camaraderie, and sportsmanship from participants across 15 regional divisions of KVS.

Vijay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Lucknow Region, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, while H.S. Kushwaha, Sports Cell In-charge from KVS Headquarters, was present as the Special Guest.

The program commenced with a warm welcome by the Scouts and Guides of the school. Guests were presented with green saplings, symbolizing environmental consciousness and gratitude. Principal Manish Kumar Srivastava expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all visiting dignitaries and participating teams in his welcome address.

The cultural segment of the event added vibrancy to the atmosphere with group songs, yoga demonstrations, and folk dances, which were widely appreciated by the audience.

In a thrilling final match, Delhi Region emerged victorious by defeating Dehradun Region, clinching the championship trophy. Dehradun secured the runner-up position. In the match for third place, Bengaluru Region triumphed over Jaipur Region.

All participating players were awarded certificates, while trophies and citations were presented to the winning and runner-up teams. Chief Guest Vijay Kumar congratulated the players for their dedication and praised the school for its excellent hosting and arrangements. Special Guest H.S. Kushwaha also lauded the school’s management and hospitality.

The event concluded with a formal flag-lowering ceremony and the official declaration of the competition’s closure. Vice Principal Sanoj Kumar extended a vote of thanks to all players, escorts, guests, and organizers. The ceremony ended with the national anthem, and the event was smoothly conducted by Dr. Arti Tripathi Pandey and Gargi Singh.

The championship not only celebrated athletic excellence but also highlighted unity and the spirit of national integration among young sportspersons.
