Ahmedabad: An evening of cultural splendour, national pride and inspiration unfolded in Ahmedabad with the grand presentation of Namotsav, a large-scale musical multimedia production celebrating the life, leadership and visionary journey of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Organised by Sanskardham, the three-day cultural extravaganza witnessed packed audiences and seamlessly blended art, music, technology and storytelling to chronicle a journey rooted in service, determination and nation-building.
Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated Namotsav, describing it as a powerful portrayal of a leader who has inspired 140 crore Indians within a span of 11 years. Addressing the gathering, Shri Shah said that the Prime Minister’s vision of making India the world’s leading nation by 2047 reflects a lifetime dedicated to a clear national objective, continuous innovation and the creation of a vast team of citizens who share the same dream. “Such transformation is possible only when leadership is driven by unwavering commitment and collective participation,” he remarked.
Namotsav artistically traced the inspiring life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi—from his humble beginnings in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to his transformative tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat and later as the Prime Minister of India. Through a compelling mix of live performances, music, dance, narration and cutting-edge multimedia visuals, the production highlighted key milestones that shaped both his personal journey and India’s developmental trajectory.
The event drew a wide spectrum of dignitaries, cultural practitioners, spiritual leaders, artists, scholars and citizens from diverse walks of life, reflecting the programme’s broad appeal and cultural significance. The overwhelming public participation reaffirmed the deep connection between cultural expression and collective national consciousness.
One of the standout features of the programme was the breathtaking live performances by over 150 artists. The aerial visuals and large-scale choreography presented a vivid panorama where culture, music and message came together in perfect harmony, leaving the audience spellbound.
Through carefully curated acts, the production recalled defining moments from Narendra Modi’s leadership journey, including the historic developmental initiatives undertaken during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat. The programme highlighted how the Gujarat Model of development and good governance later evolved into a blueprint for national progress.
The narrative showcased landmark achievements in infrastructure development, governance reforms, social empowerment and inclusive growth, underlining the philosophy of transparent, accountable and people-centric governance. It also demonstrated how foundations laid in Gujarat played a crucial role in shaping policies and governance frameworks at the national level.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, through its Publications Division, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) and Press Information Bureau (PIB), played an active role in the event by disseminating information related to the life and work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A dedicated book stall set up by CBC and the Publications Division, Ahmedabad, attracted considerable attention from visitors, scholars, students and the general public.
Around 14 prominent titles were showcased, offering insights into various dimensions of the Prime Minister’s life and leadership. These included Letters to Mother by Bhavana Somaiya, Aankh Aa Dhanya Che, The Modi Story – Reflections on Leadership and Life, Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery, 370: Undoing the Unjust, Igniting Collective Goodness – Mann Ki Baat @100, among others. A compilation of speeches delivered by the Prime Minister was also displayed, reflecting his vision on governance, development, social reform and global engagement.
Chief Executive Officer, Prasar Bharati, Gaurav Dwivedi; Director General, PIB, Dhirendra Ojha; and Additional Director General, PIB Ahmedabad, Prashant Pathrabe, visited the book stall and interacted with officials. They appreciated the Ministry’s efforts in curating authentic and informative literature documenting the Prime Minister’s journey and contribution to nation-building, and lauded the use of cultural platforms to complement information dissemination and public outreach.
Overall, Namotsav emerged as a powerful example of how culture can serve as a medium to communicate values, leadership and social transformation. By blending traditional art forms with modern technology, the programme engaged audiences across generations, celebrating resilience, innovation and the spirit of public service.
More than a cultural spectacle, Namotsav stood as a celebration of India’s democratic journey, developmental aspirations and cultural richness, reaffirming the power of creative expression to tell stories that inspire generations.
