Lucknow: As part of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ (Service Fortnight) celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, a grand “Namo Marathon” was organized in Lucknow on September 21.
The marathon was flagged off by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from his official residence at 5 Kalidas Marg and concluded at the 1090 crossing. The event aimed to connect the youth with national resolutions such as ‘Fit India,’ ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India), and ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Drug-Free India). The marathon saw enthusiastic participation from all sections of society, especially a large number of young people.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that a healthy and empowered youth is essential for building a strong nation. He added that such events raise awareness about health and national duty among the youth. The Chief Minister also praised the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership, noting that ‘Seva Pakhwada’ is spreading positivity throughout society through various service activities.
The marathon was not just about physical fitness; it also symbolized a collective effort towards building a developed India. The successful event demonstrated the readiness of Uttar Pradesh’s youth to contribute significantly to nation-building.

The marathon was organized by the Regional Sports Office. The top three winners in both the boys’ and girls’ categories were honored with awards. The prizes were distributed by Girish Chandra Yadav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Sports and Youth Welfare, Uttar Pradesh. The event was attended by Shri Bhupendra Chaudhary, BJP State President; Mahendra Singh, Member of Rajya Sabha; Neeraj Singh, Senior BJP Member; Manvendra Pratap Singh, District President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha; Dr. R.P. Singh, Director of Sports, Uttar Pradesh; and other esteemed members of sports associations.
