Lucknow: A musical theatre production titled ‘Shaheedon Ne Lau Jagayi Jo’, dedicated to the legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, will be staged in Lucknow on March 23 to mark his martyrdom day.
The play, written, composed, and originally directed by noted theatre personality Dr. Urmil Kumar Thapliyal, will be presented at the Sant Gadgeji Maharaj Auditorium. This year, the production will be directed by his daughter Ritun Thapliyal Mishra, offering a fresh interpretation of the musical drama.
Organized by the Dr. Urmil Kumar Thapliyal Foundation, the play pays homage to the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism associated with Bhagat Singh and other martyrs of India’s freedom struggle. Known for its unique presentation style, the production blends music, drama, and powerful storytelling to evoke the ideals of courage and nationalism.

The staging is being supported by Veena, Ritesh, and Vidhi, who are contributing to bringing the production to life.
