MP Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar Inaugurates Exhibition Showcasing Nine Years of Achievements in Bareilly

Bareilly: A seven-day exhibition highlighting the achievements of the Uttar Pradesh government over the past nine years was inaugurated by Member of Parliament Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar at Hartman Ramleela Ground in Bareilly. The exhibition, set up at the Panchayat Bhawan premises, will remain open to the public until March 26.

After inaugurating the event by cutting the ribbon, the MP toured the exhibition stalls and reviewed displays showcasing key government initiatives and welfare schemes. Addressing attendees, Gangwar said that the state government has been consistently working towards the holistic development and welfare of citizens through ambitious and transparent governance.

He emphasized that over the past nine years, Uttar Pradesh has achieved significant milestones across sectors, including improved law and order, enhanced living standards, transparent recruitment processes, and expanded employment opportunities based on merit and skill.

Focus on Welfare and Development

The exhibition presents a comprehensive overview of various flagship schemes implemented by both the central and state governments. It aims to create awareness among the general public about welfare initiatives and their benefits.

Officials highlighted that self-help groups (SHGs) have played a crucial role in empowering rural women across all 75 districts and 826 development blocks. Under livelihood missions, over 1.06 crore rural women have become self-reliant.

In agriculture, farmers are being supported with modern technologies, including up to 50% subsidy on drone usage. Additionally, more than 86,000 solar pumps have been installed under the PM Kusum scheme with subsidies of up to 90%.

Major Scheme Highlights

  • Over 3.12 crore farmers have benefited under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
  • More than 3.53 crore farmers have received compensation under the crop insurance scheme.
  • Around 18.5 lakh women have been registered as Lakhpati Didis, earning ₹10,000–₹12,000 per month.
  • Pension for destitute women has been increased from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500.
  • Over 30,500 health workers (Sakhis) are actively providing services in rural areas.
  • The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana has benefited over 26.81 lakh girls.

Public Participation and Awareness

The exhibition has been designed as an interactive platform to inform citizens about development initiatives and encourage greater participation in government schemes. Visitors can explore sector-wise achievements through visual displays and informational panels.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Bahoran Lal Maurya, Mayor Umesh Gautam, District Magistrate Avinash Singh, and Chief Development Officer Devyani, along with officials and members of the public.

The exhibition is expected to draw significant footfall over the coming days, offering citizens a closer look at the government’s developmental journey and welfare outreach.
