Montfort Inter College Hosts Inspiring Seminar on Family’s Role in a Child’s Education

Lucknow – In a heartfelt and intellectually enriching initiative, Montfort Inter College, Lucknow, organized a seminar titled “The Role of Family in a Child’s Education”, reinforcing the belief that academic excellence is a shared journey between school and home.

Held in the school’s auditorium, the seminar brought together an inclusive gathering of parents, students, faculty, and alumni, highlighting the importance of partnership in a child’s educational development. The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a soulful prayer and Bible reading by the school choir, setting the tone for a day of reflection and insight.

The occasion was graced by Siddharth Verma, an illustrious alumnus of the school and Divisional Operational Officer, Northern Railway, as the chief guest. Welcoming him were Principal Brother Jeenu Abraham, Vice Principal Neena Das, School Coordinator Bindu Pillai, and Administrator Brother T.T. Mathew, alongside a cross-section of enthusiastic parents.

In a gesture symbolic of growth and rootedness, all dignitaries were felicitated with flowers and saplings, underscoring Montfort’s commitment to sustainability and timeless values.

Principal Brother Jeenu Abraham, in his welcome address, reiterated the school’s dedication to not only academic excellence but also shaping character and leadership through value-based education. A PowerPoint presentation followed, offering a visual journey through the institution’s recent achievements in academics, arts, and extracurriculars.

In his keynote speech, Siddharth Verma reflected on his own formative years at Montfort and emphasized the pivotal role families play in shaping a child’s academic and emotional trajectory. He spoke candidly about how parental involvement, emotional stability, and encouragement are essential ingredients for success. His interactive session with students and parents brought depth and relatability to the discussion, sparking meaningful exchanges and heartfelt anecdotes.

To infuse a cultural touch, students performed a group song, offering a melodious break in the proceedings, before Vice Principal Neena Das addressed the audience on the importance of discipline, ethics, and cooperation—the cornerstones of the Montfort philosophy.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and the spirited rendition of the Montfort Anthem, wrapping up the event with unity and pride.
