Mohanlalganj – In the aftermath of the tragic suicide of Yash, a Class 6 student from Dhanuwasad village who reportedly lost Rs 14 lakh in online gaming, the Mohanlalganj police have decided to conduct a village-to-village awareness campaign.
At a peace meeting held on Thursday, ACP Mohanlalganj Rajneesh Verma announced that the police will directly engage with children, educating them about the dangers of online gaming. A dedicated team, including women police personnel, will be formed for this purpose.
The meeting also highlighted the growing threat of cybercrime and addictive online games. However, the investigation into Yash’s case remains stalled. The police are yet to receive account details from the bank, have not sent the boy’s phone for forensic examination, and have not analyzed his call records.
“This incident is a lesson for parents”

ACP Verma stressed that the case should serve as a wake-up call for parents. He urged them to protect their children from mobile and internet addiction, monitor their online activities, and promptly report any suspicious behavior to the police to prevent tragedies.
Family in Mourning
Yash’s mother, Vimla, who had been hospitalized due to shock following her son’s death, was discharged on Wednesday after her condition improved. She has since returned home, but both she and her husband Suresh remain inconsolable over the loss of their only child.
