Lucknow– Former police officer and renowned poet Mohammad Ali Sahil released his third ghazal collection, Talash Sahil Ki, at a special event on 02 December 2024 at the Sangeet Natak Academy. The ghazal mehfil featured a gathering of poets, literary figures, and special guests from both India and abroad.
Talash Sahil Ki, published by the prestigious Vani Prakashan, marks the third milestone in Sahil’s poetic journey. His previous collections, Pehla Kadam (2012) and Kirdar (2015), were both launched in grand ceremonies at Bharatendu Natya Academy and Sangeet Natak Academy, respectively. Sahil’s work has resonated deeply with poetry lovers, and his video ghazal album Teri Surat (2018), released by T-Series, continues to attract millions of views on YouTube.
Sahil, who began his career in the police department in 1990, retired in August 2024 from his post as Inspector Confidential at Women Power Line 1090. He was honored with the President’s Police Medal for his exemplary service on Republic Day this year. He is also a member of the Indian Film Writers Association and IPRS. The event is being organized by Golden Friends, a national and international organization known for promoting cultural and literary activities.
