Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJP RU), Bareilly, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh, has achieved a remarkable milestone in the Nature Index Ranking 2026. The university secured 168th position in India in the Overall category and 137th in Academic Performance. On the global scale, it attained 4159th rank overall and 2442nd in Academic Performance.
The university also made notable progress in Physical Sciences research, ranking 93rd in India and 2135th globally in this category.
The Nature Index is a prestigious global ranking that evaluates institutions based on high-quality research publications in natural and health sciences. It tracks research published in 145 selected international journals, chosen by an independent group of researchers for their reputation.
University administration attributed this achievement to the hard work and dedication of faculty members, researchers, and students. The recognition further strengthens the university’s research quality, academic excellence, and global visibility.
