Mission Shakti Phase-5 Empowers Girl Students with Awareness of Rights

Lucknow: As part of the ongoing Mission Shakti Phase-5, the Police Commissionerate of Lucknow organized a comprehensive awareness program aimed at educating women and girl students about their rights and safety measures. The event, held  under the Mission Shakti Abhiyan Phase-5, took place at crossroads markets and Sanskrit Rajmata Academy, Aliganj under the jurisdiction of Aliganj  police station.

The program focused on empowering women and girls by raising awareness about their legal rights, the various services available to them, and their safety. Notable officers present included Inspector Pragati Singh and Sub-Inspector Aashi Gupta, along with other women police personnel from Thana Aliganj. The initiative emphasized creating a safer environment for women while providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect themselves.

Key aspects of the program included discussions on essential helplines like the 1000 women helpline, 112 emergency services, and the Mahila Power Line. The attendees were also informed about various schemes launched by the UP Police for women’s security, such as Smart City Cameras, Yellow Police Patrolling, and the Mahila Helpline.

The objective of Mission Shakti Abhiyan is to enhance respect, security, and equality for women. It is also designed to educate them on self-defense and how to access government schemes aimed at ensuring their safety.

This initiative, led by the Lucknow Police, is a commendable step towards building awareness and promoting the rights and security of women in the community.
