Mission Shakti 5.0 Awareness Programme Held at Kashishwar Inter College, Mohanlalganj

Lucknow: Reinforcing its commitment towards women safety, student awareness and cyber security, Lucknow Police Commissionerate organised a special Mission Shakti 5.0 awareness programme at Kashishwar Inter College, Mohanlalganj, where students took a collective pledge to stay alert against cyber threats and promote safety in the digital age.

The programme was conducted by Mohanlalganj Police Station with the objective of making students—especially girl students—aware of their rights, safety measures, and ways to protect themselves from crimes against women and cyber fraud. The initiative aimed at empowering the younger generation with knowledge, confidence and practical tools to navigate both physical and digital spaces safely.

Cyber Safety Pledge and Student Sensitisation

Under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign, students were educated on cyber threats and practical methods to prevent online fraud. All participating students took a cyber safety pledge, understanding the importance of remaining vigilant while using social media, mobile applications and digital platforms.

Girl students were sensitised about crimes against women, available legal safeguards, and the importance of reporting incidents without fear. The programme highlighted how awareness and timely reporting can prevent crimes and ensure swift action.

Strengthening Mission Shakti Infrastructure

Under the directions of Police Commissioner Lucknow, Amrendra Kumar Sengar, Mission Shakti Centres have been established in all 54 police stations across Lucknow Commissionerate. Each centre is staffed with one Inspector, one Additional Inspector, one Sub-Inspector and one Woman Sub-Inspector to ensure prompt redressal of women-related complaints and immediate assistance to those in need.

The awareness programme was organised by Woman Sub-Inspector Akanksha Rajput of Mohanlalganj Police Station at Kashishwar Inter College, Mohanlalganj.

    • 112 – Emergency Response Support System (ERSS)

    • 1930 – Cyber Crime Helpline

  • Cyber Crime Prevention Measures:

    • Maintaining privacy on social media

    • Avoiding sharing personal and financial details online

    • Immediate reporting of cyber fraud through helpline 1930

Pamphlets related to women welfare schemes, Mission Shakti Centres and cyber safety were also distributed among students.

Encouraging Timely Reporting

Students were informed that in any situation of distress or emergency, they should immediately contact the relevant helpline numbers or seek help through messages and digital platforms, ensuring quick intervention by authorities.

A Step Towards Social Transformation

Police officials concluded that Mission Shakti 5.0 is not merely an awareness campaign but a continuous movement towards social transformation. By educating students and women about their rights, safety mechanisms and cyber security, the initiative is nurturing a generation of alert, confident and responsible citizens.

The programme at Kashishwar Inter College marked another significant step by Lucknow Police in ensuring women empowerment, student safety and digital awareness in the district.
