Ayodhya: Adding another milestone to her achievements, Miss Universe India 2025 titleholder Manika Vishwakarma will play the role of Sita in the grand Ramleela to be staged at Ayodhya’s Ram Katha Park from September 22 to October 2. The event will feature celebrated actors including Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Puneet Issar, and Raza Murad.
The Ramleela, founded by Subhash Malik (Bobby) and Shubham Malik, is recognized as the world’s largest, drawing a record-breaking 450 million viewers last year. This year’s edition promises to be even more spectacular, offering audiences from India and abroad a unique cultural experience.
Hailing from Rajasthan, Manika expressed her delight, calling the opportunity to portray Sita a blessing. “I always wished to come to Ayodhya, and now, by Lord Ram’s grace, I have received the chance to embody Sita. This is a priceless experience for me,” she said. Alongside representing India at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, she considers this role a defining moment in her journey.
The casting brings together a galaxy of stars: Puneet Issar as Parshuram, Manoj Tiwari as Bali, Ravi Kishan as Kevat, Rajesh Puri as Hanuman, Manish Sharma as Ravana, Rahul Guchar as Lord Ram, Raza Murad as Meghnad, Avtar Gill as King Janak, Rakesh Bedi as Vibhishan, and Rajan Modi as Lakshman.
Organizers say this combination of renowned performers and grand presentation will elevate the Ramleela into not just a religious enactment but a celebration of India’s cultural heritage.
