Lucknow: In a shocking incident that has raised serious questions over law and order in the state capital, a minor boy was allegedly abducted at gunpoint on New Year’s night from the Rajajipuram area under Talkatora police station limits.
According to the victim, a group of influential youths forcibly kidnapped him, brandishing a pistol, and held him captive for several hours in a moving vehicle. The accused allegedly assaulted him brutally, stripped him, and subjected him to severe physical and mental torture.

The minor stated that he was held hostage for nearly four to five hours, during which the abductors demanded a ransom of ₹5 lakh and threatened to kill him if the money was not paid. He further alleged that the accused kept pressing an illegal pistol to his temple, intimidating him while roaming through deserted areas and continuously beating him.
The accused reportedly released the boy around 6 am on Thursday morning and fled the scene. When the minor returned home in a distressed condition, his family was left traumatized and fearful.

The victim’s mother, in her complaint to the Talkatora police station, has named Ishu Yadav, Anuj Dixit, and others, accusing them of kidnapping, assault, and extortion. The family claimed that the accused are known local strongmen with multiple criminal cases already registered against them.
The family has also alleged police negligence, stating that no arrests have been made so far despite lodging a formal complaint. They expressed grave concern over the minor’s safety and demanded immediate action.
Meanwhile, a video of the incident has surfaced, allegedly showing the accused assaulting the minor inside a vehicle while threatening him with a pistol. The emergence of the video has intensified concerns over public safety and police functioning in the capital.
