Lucknow – In a swift and coordinated operation, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate successfully traced and rescued a 13-year-old girl who had been lured and taken away by an adult male. The accused, identified as a 21-year-old resident of Lalpur, was taken into custody from the GhaziPur area.
Incident Details:
On April 15, 2025, a written complaint was submitted by the victim’s family at the concerned police station, reporting that their 13-year-old daughter had been allegedly lured away by an unidentified individual. Acting promptly, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Using surveillance networks and technical analysis, the police identified the accused as a resident of Samdhidipur, Himmapur Parshuram, under the jurisdiction of Purvavi police station. He was later found to be originally from Lalpur, within the jurisdiction of Sandhan Banpasitapur.
On April 16, 2025, police from the Ghazipur station received a tip-off indicating the presence of a boy and a girl, resembling the missing individuals, near a Jain temple in the Kinavli area. The informant mentioned that their behavior appeared suspicious and they seemed to be preparing to leave the area.
The police team swiftly moved to the location and managed to surround and intercept the duo. Upon questioning, the boy identified himself as Himanshu, aged 21, from Lalpur, Beelpur. The girl, confirmed to be the missing minor, was safely recovered and handed over to the custody of a woman constable from the team.
The accused was detained and taken to the police station for further questioning. Legal action has been initiated against him under appropriate sections of the law. Authorities are also checking for any previous criminal history associated with the accused by contacting other police stations.
Nature and Motive of the Crime:
The primary motive of the crime appears to be enticing and eloping with a minor girl by misleading her. The police have reiterated their commitment to child safety and have warned against such criminal actions.
