Minor Apprehended Within 36 Hours in Birthday Party Firing Case in Lucknow

Lucknow: Police in Lucknow have solved a firing incident that took place during a birthday party within 36 hours, apprehending a minor involved in the case and sending him to a juvenile correction facility.

According to police officials, the case was registered on March 3 at Krishnanagar Police Station, Lucknow following a written complaint by Zameer Khan, a resident of Behsa village near Amausi Airport under the Sarojini Nagar area. Based on the complaint, a case (FIR No. 100/2026) was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Taking the matter seriously, the investigation was conducted under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) and the supervision of senior officers of the Krishna Nagar police circle. Two special police teams were formed to probe the incident.

During the investigation, police, along with forensic experts, carried out a detailed examination of the crime scene and collected electronic and physical evidence. Based on technical analysis and the gathered evidence, a juvenile found to be involved in the firing incident was taken into custody on March 4.

After completing the required legal formalities, the minor was produced before the competent authority and sent to a juvenile correction home. Police said further investigation into the case is ongoing.
