Lakhimpur Kheri/Lucknow : On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Higher Education Rajni Tiwari joined the masses in Lakhimpur Kheri to promote health, discipline, and the holistic benefits of yoga. The event, held under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saw a grand turnout at the Krishi Utpadan Mandi Samiti campus.
Minister Tiwari inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and formally launched the day’s activities. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized India’s spiritual heritage and the global recognition of yoga, thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s efforts.
“Yoga is India’s priceless gift from our ancient Rishi tradition that has today become a bridge connecting the entire world,” she said. “It is not just physical exercise; it is a complete way of life that unites the body, mind, and soul.”
Highlighting yoga’s transformative power, the minister encouraged people of all ages to integrate yoga into their daily routines for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
She also awarded prizes to the winners of a local yoga competition and praised the children’s performance of a yoga demonstration based on the ‘Shiv Tandav Stotram’, calling it a perfect blend of tradition, strength, and grace.
The celebration reflected the growing enthusiasm for yoga in smaller districts, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to public wellness and cultural pride.
