Lucknow: On July 24, 2024, the School Auditorium at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow was filled with excitement as the institution hosted the Felicitation Ceremony for the ICSE Batch of 2023-24. This ceremony celebrated the exceptional achievements of the students, recognizing their dedication and hard work.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the National Song, followed by the School Anthem sung by our students. The atmosphere was further enriched with a soulful Ganesh Vandana by dance students, invoking divine blessings.
This year in 10th grade, 265 students appeared and passed the ICSE 2024 examination. 143 students soared above the 90% mark, with 67 achieving a remarkable 95% and above. The school’s average stands at an impressive 88.73%. The performance of the school in all subjects is above the national average.
Anjali Jaipuria, Vice Chairperson, addressed the audience, she congratulated the students and their teachers and parents present in the audience. In her speech, she spoke about the importance of understanding the true meaning of Dharm, adding ” To discover Dharm is the most important thing in life. The conscious speaks the words of our education, whereas Dharm is the voice of our soul. It cannot be taught but must be experienced. A person who is surfing and knows the rhythm of waves would only ride them smoothly. As such, in life, the rhythm of life is Dharm and only once you experience Dharm then only you would lead the life the right way. ”
The Chief Guest, Major General A.K. Chaturvedi, delivered a motivating speech in which he encouraged students to engage in sports alongside their academics. He explained that participating in sports helps one become more disciplined and build a broader perspective. When playing in a team, students learn the importance of collaboration, and these skills, acquired through sports, can enhance their academic knowledge and contribute to their overall growth.
The ceremony then honored the academic excellence of students with special awards: The Alpana Goel Award for Excellence in Geography was given to Akshat Goel and the Parul Mishra Award for Excellence in Biology was given to Akshita Agarwal.
The Principal’s address congratulated the students, teachers, and parents. In her speech, she spoke about maintaining the school’s values and practices in their lives. She emphasized the importance of being humble, expressing gratitude, and always offering everything to the divine. She further discussed the importance of having a goal and being dedicated to achieving it while keeping the ego at bay.
This was followed by a series of felicitation ceremonies for students scoring between 89% and 99.25% in their exams, with Major General A.K. Chaturvedi, the Vice Chairperson, Principal, Dr. Anupam Vidyarthi, Dr. Rashmi Singh, and Mr. Vinay Pandey presenting the awards to the deserving students.
The school’s top scorer was Akshita Agrawal, who achieved the highest marks in the batch. The event featured an interaction with students, providing them with an opportunity to express their thoughts and experiences.
A discussion with parents led by English teacher Jaya Joshi allowed parents to express their gratitude to the school and its teachers for the enriching educational journey provided to their children. They shared stories of guiding their children through the board exams and praised the unwavering support from the school and its teachers. “The teachers were always available, kept the children motivated, and were ready to assist with any doubts,” one parent added.
Subject toppers were honored with medals by their respective teachers, celebrating their exceptional performance in individual subjects.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of pride and inspiration, reflecting on the remarkable achievements of the students of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School.
