Lucknow: Women gathered at Lok Chaupal welcoming Sawan with a series of songs. On Sunday, a gathering of Sawan songs and music was held along with Guru Naman in the Chaupal organized by Lok Sanskriti Shodh Sansthan in the Irrigation Department’s Officers Club. Chaupal Chaudhary Padma Gidwani, Vimla Pant, Indra Shrivastava, Awadhi scholar Dr. Ram Bahadur Mishra etc. discussed the folk tradition, fasts and festivals, food etc. of the month of Sawan.
The program was inaugurated by Archana Gupta with Guru Vandana and Sawan song Sakhi Ri Dekho Chaaye Kare Kare Badra.
