Mega Loan Camp Held in Lucknow to Mark Nine Years of Yogi Government; ₹370 Crore Distributed to 112 Beneficiaries

Lucknow: A mega loan distribution camp was organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan to mark the completion of nine years of the Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath. The event underscored the state’s push toward self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

The program was attended by Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna as the chief guest, while MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture and Textile Minister Rakesh Sachan was present as the guest of honour.

During the event, a total of 112 beneficiaries were provided loan cheques amounting to approximately ₹370 crore under various government schemes. Beneficiaries under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana were also distributed advanced toolkits to promote self-employment.

The ministers reviewed stalls set up by artisans and entrepreneurs from the District Industries Promotion and Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Lucknow. Assistance was extended under schemes such as the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, ODOP Financial Assistance Scheme, ODOP Toolkit Scheme, and the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana.

Addressing the gathering, Khanna emphasized that the government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible individual in a transparent and time-bound manner. He also highlighted the crucial role of banks in facilitating effective implementation.

Rakesh Sachan stated that large-scale loan distribution programs are being conducted across all 75 districts of the state to empower youth, self-help groups, MSMEs, and artisans. He reiterated that the government aims to transform youth from job seekers into job creators. He added that the state has set a target of connecting 1.5 lakh youth with self-employment this year, of which over 1.36 lakh have already been covered.

He further noted that the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative has gained global recognition, significantly contributing to exports. Various schemes, including the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, are providing training, toolkits, and affordable credit to young entrepreneurs.

The event witnessed the presence of senior officials from multiple departments, banking representatives, public representatives, and a large number of entrepreneurs and beneficiaries, reflecting the growing momentum toward inclusive economic growth and employment generation in the state.
