Lucknow: On the occasion of World Earth Day, the 64 UP Battalion NCC, Lucknow University organized a Mega Cleaning Drive under the themes “Clean Earth, Green Future” and “Our Power, Our Planet.” The event was held in collaboration with Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., and was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. The campaign was efficiently led by Lieutenant (Dr.) Rajneesh Kumar Yadav, Associate NCC Officer.
NCC cadets actively participated in the drive by cleaning various locations within the Lucknow University campus. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and plastic waste management. In addition to the cleaning efforts, activities such as tree plantation, human chain formation, and a poster-making competition were also conducted to engage students and promote public awareness.
This initiative stands as a shining example of environmental consciousness and youth leadership. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai extended his warm wishes to all NCC cadets on the occasion of World Earth Day and appreciated their spirited contribution to making the campus cleaner and greener.
