Meerut District Cricket Association Clinch SRMS T-20 Tournament Season 6 Title

Bareilly | Meerut District Cricket Association emerged champions of the Shri Ram Murti Memorial T-20 Prize Money Cricket Tournament Season 6 after defeating IK Next Generation by six wickets in a thrilling final played on Sunday night.

Chasing a target of 155 runs set by IK Next Generation, MDCA comfortably reached the total in just 15.4 overs, losing only four wickets to seal the title in style.

Rituraj Sharma Shines in Final and Tournament

The star of the final was Rituraj Sharma, who delivered a match-winning performance with a blistering 61 runs off 35 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. His outstanding knock earned him the Man of the Match award.

Rituraj’s consistent performance throughout the tournament also saw him bag the Player of the Tournament title. He scored an impressive 345 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 233.11, including four half-centuries, and also contributed with the ball.

MDCA Players Dominate Awards

MDCA players dominated the individual honours as well. Ankur Sharma was named Best Bowler of the Tournament after picking up 10 wickets in five matches.

Meanwhile, Harsh Tyagi was declared Best Batsman, scoring 271 runs in five innings, which included a century and a half-century.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

The closing ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Bareilly District Magistrate Avinash Singh as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Ranjit Chaudhary, Ankit Bhardwaj, P C Bisht, Manoj Kumar, and Kaushal Jyoti.

Also present were Nikhil Agarwal, Dev Murti, Aditya Murti, Subhash Mehra, and Dr Prabhakar Gupta, among others.

The winning team, MDCA, was awarded a cash prize of ₹2 lakh along with the championship trophy, while the runners-up received ₹1 lakh. The Player of the Tournament was awarded ₹11,000, and the Best Batsman and Best Bowler received ₹5,100 each.

Well-Organised Event

The event was attended by members of the organizing committee and several prominent personalities, including Dr Nitin Saxena and other organizing members.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Dr Ashish Saxena.

The successful organizing of the tournament once again highlighted Bareilly’s growing prominence as a hub for competitive cricket and sporting excellence.
