Mayor Sushma Kharkwal Graces ‘One Tree for Mother’ Initiative in Lucknow

Lucknow — In a heartwarming blend of emotional tribute and environmental consciousness, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal participated as the chief guest in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree for Mother) event held at Sahkarita Bhawan, Lucknow. The initiative, aimed at honoring motherhood through symbolic tree plantation, served as a strong message for environmental preservation and community participation.

Organized with compassion and community spirit, the program was coordinated by Punita Bhatnagar, Jyotsna Gupta, Pratima Balian, Sarita, Kaylee Gupta, Kusum Pathak, and Preeti Mishra. The event was hosted by Pradeep Shukla, who guided the proceedings with flair.

Children Spread Green Message Through Culture

The event, held close to Friendship Day and Raksha Bandhan, also encouraged people to give trees as gifts, transforming traditional celebrations into acts of sustainability.
