Vijayawada, April 29, 2025 – Preparations are underway for a massive public gathering in Amaravati, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a crowd expected to exceed 5 lakh people on May 2nd. This event marks the resumption of work on the “people’s capital,” according to Labour and Factories Minister Vasamsetti Subash.
The meeting focused on ensuring smooth transportation, food, drinking water, and medical services for the anticipated crowd. Collectors, local elected representatives, and other officials participated in the discussions.
Roads and Buildings Minister BC Janardhan Reddy told reporters that the event is expected to draw thousands of people from across the state. He emphasized the TDP-led NDA government’s commitment to building a “magnificent capital” in Amaravati, fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra stated that preparations are in full swing, with over 1 lakh people expected to travel from the Krishna district alone. He extended an invitation to the public to attend the Prime Minister’s event.
Krishna District SP R Gangadhara Rao and other senior officials also attended the review meeting, ensuring comprehensive planning for the large-scale event.
