Mass Wedding Ceremony on May 25: Over 100 Couples to Tie the Knot Together

Lucknow: In a heartwarming gesture of community unity and social welfare, over 100 underprivileged couples will be united in matrimony on May 25 during a grand mass wedding ceremony organized jointly by the Manav Ekta Association and Yogi Sena Bharat.

The event will be held at Prem Shivkala Lawn, located in Amousi village near Sarojini Nagar, adjacent to the Amousi Railway Station in Lucknow. This noble initiative aims to support financially challenged families by relieving them of the burden of wedding expenses while promoting social harmony.

The announcement was made at the OCR MLA residence by L.P. Singh, National President of Manav Ekta Association, and Gaurav Verma, National President of Yogi Sena Bharat. They were joined by Soumya Maya Bhatt, National General Secretary of Yogi Sena (Bharat), Mohan Mishra, National Secretary, and several other organizing committee members.

L.P. Singh shared that the Association has been conducting such mass marriage events for the past seven years. “This year’s event will be the largest yet, as we continue our mission of ensuring dignified weddings for daughters from economically weak backgrounds,” he stated.

Gaurav Verma emphasized that the Yogi Sena is devoted to promoting Sanatan Dharma and considers Kanyadaan (donating a daughter in marriage) as a sacred act. He added that couples from 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh and 18 couples from Bihar will participate and take part in traditional Hindu wedding rituals.

According to Soumya Maya Bhatt, women who are orphaned or do not have brothers to support them are identified through surveys by organization volunteers. These selected brides are then included in the ceremony, ensuring that no deserving girl is left behind.

The event will also witness the presence of several notable guests, including:

  • Awadh Ojha, renowned social worker, educator, and UPSC motivational speaker (Chief Guest)

  • Dandi Swami Shri Shri 108  Arun Svar Ashram (Chief Patron)

  • Prof. Baua Singh Chauhan, Manjari Ojha, Mansi Gupta (social workers)

  • Advocate Mohit Mishra, Dr. D.S. Parihar, K.L. Srivastava, Prem Chandra Vishwakarma, Anand Kumar, Arvind Tiwari, and Ankit Singh

This large-scale initiative not only uplifts marginalized communities but also sets a powerful example of compassion, unity, and shared responsibility in society.
