New Delhi: Indian fashion icon turned filmmaker Manish Malhotra is set to make his cinematic debut with Gustakh Ishq – Kuch Pehle Jaisa, scheduled to release in theaters on November 21, 2025, under the banner of Stage5 Production.
A passion project for Malhotra, the film reimagines classic love stories while weaving a fresh and sensitive narrative. The cast features powerhouse actors including Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Naseeruddin Shah.
The film’s first song, ‘Uljhal Ishq’, has already captured audience attention. Composed by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics by Gulzar, sound design by Oscar-winner Rasool Pokutty, and vocals by Shilpa Rao and Papon, the track has become a talking point among music enthusiasts.
Directed by Vibhu Puri, the story unfolds between the narrow lanes of Old Delhi and the fading havelis of Punjab, exploring an unspoken romance and deep longing.
Co-produced alongside his brother Dinesh Malhotra, Manish embarks on this journey as a filmmaker aiming to bring classic love stories to Indian cinema in a contemporary style.
