Lucknow: In a prompt response to a brewing conflict, the Itaunja Police on Wednesday arrested a man for disturbing public peace in Vikrampur village under the Itaunja police station limits. The arrest was made on the spot by Sub-Inspector Dhirendra Rai and his team during a routine presence in the area.
The incident unfolded earlier in the day when the police received information about a physical altercation between two individuals in the village. Upon reaching the scene, the police found that Kamlesh, son of Ishwari (approximately 29 years old), a resident of Vikrampur, was engaged in a heated argument with one Kuldeep Lodhi over a previously filed case.
Kamlesh was reportedly in an aggressive and confrontational state. Despite repeated attempts by the police to pacify him, he continued to behave violently and refused to calm down. Fearing a potential escalation and breach of public peace, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused on the spot.

A case has been registered against Kamlesh under Sections 170/126/135 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He has been presented before the local court.
Police officials stated that Kamlesh’s aggressive behavior and deliberate intent to provoke a public disturbance could have led to a more serious situation if not handled promptly. Thanks to the swift and decisive action by the Itaunja Police, a potentially volatile incident was effectively neutralized.
