Mamta Kulkarni gets emotional

Mumbai: After a 25-year break, former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni, who dominated the film industry in the 1990s, has returned to India.

Mamta, who is well-known for her memorable roles with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in movies like “Karan Arjun,” posted a heartfelt video on Instagram that conveyed her happiness and longing.

The video, which was uploaded on Wednesday, showed Mamta’s emotional reaction as her plane reached Mumbai and she saw her own country for the first time in more than 20 years. Overcome with emotion, she cried with delight as she left the airport, calling the experience of landing in India “unforgettable.”

Mamta penned, “BACK TO MY MOTHERLAND AFTER 25 YEARS,” as a reflection on her travels. AFTER 12 YEARS OF AUSTERITY, I ATTENDED KUMBH MELA 2012 AND RETURN EXACTLY 12 YEARS LATER FOR ANOTHER MAHA KUMBH 2025.

She said that she is committed to attending the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2025 and that her return marks an important spiritual turning point.

With her roles in popular movies like “Aashiq Awara” (1993), “Baazi” (1995), and “China Gate” (1998), Mamta Kulkarni rose to fame in the 1990s. Working with Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan, she was a phenomenon in her peak due to her daring attitude and stunning appearance.

In the early 2000s, Mamta decided to quit Bollywood despite her fame in search of a more sedate, private life overseas. Her abrupt departure from the business generated a lot of conjecture, and her name kept coming up in relation to disputes.

Mamta Kulkarni now seems to be embarking on a new chapter in her life, embracing her spiritual path and getting back in touch with her origins. Her return has been well received by fans who are nostalgic for her previous work and have flooded social media with love and support.
