Lucknow – The University of Lucknow, in collaboration with the National Coordination Committee for Induction Program (NCCIP) on Universal Human Values (UHV) and under the directives of the UGC, inaugurated a six-day Online Short-Term Course (STC) on Universal Human Values. The program commenced at 10:30 AM on March 17, 2025, and is being conducted under the esteemed leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. Organized by the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), this initiative aims to promote value-based education. The course is being coordinated by MMTTC Director, Prof. Kamal Kumar, and Program Coordinator, Dr. Manisha Shukla.
The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Prof. Kamal Kumar. Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar Mamidala, Chairman of UGC sent his blessings. The event also featured an in-depth discourse by Dr. Rajneesh Arora, President of NCCIP, alongside contributions from Dr. Rajul Asthana and other distinguished officials from UGC, AICTE, and NCCIP.
Dr. Rajneesh Arora emphasized the importance of integrating Universal Human Values into education, aligning with UGC’s broader vision of fostering ethical, moral, and holistic learning. He elaborated on various initiatives currently being implemented by UGC to promote Universal Human Values in academia.
The course has garnered enthusiastic participation from over 75 attendees nationwide, with active engagement and discussions throughout the session. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the program, highlighting its relevance in fostering a value-based, holistic approach to life and education.
This initiative reaffirms UGC’s commitment to value-driven education while further cementing the University of Lucknow’s role as a pioneer in academic excellence.
