Major General Manoj Tiwari, Zonal Recruiting Officer (ZRO), Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Lucknow, undertook a two-day evaluation tour of the Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) Centres situated in Jhansi, Agra, and Mathura, conducted by Col Rishma Sarin, Director Recruiting, Army Recruiting
Office (ARO) Agra. The visit, was held on 03 and 04 July 2025. It aimed at scrutinizing the operational conduct of the Online CEE and affirming conformity with established norms and procedural frameworks.
The Online CEE, initiative by the Indian Army two years ago, signifies a transformative leap in the methodology of Agniveer recruitment. This digital overhaul was envisioned to augment transparency, curtail malpractices, and establish an equitable examination environment for all aspirants. Since its implementation, the system has considerably
streamlined recruitment procedures and earned commendation for its
inclusivity and integrity.
On 03 July, Major General Tiwari visited the examination centre in Jhansi, where the CEE for the Agniveer General Duty category was being conducted. On the subsequent day, his itinerary encompassed detailed
inspections of centres in Agra and Mathura. Throughout his engagements, the General Officer interacted candidly with candidates in attendance,
aiming to procure authentic insights into their experiences with the online examination platform.

During the interaction, Major General Tiwari encouraged aspirants to articulate their perspectives on the exam’s complexity and offer
constructive recommendations for potential enhancements. He reiterated the Army’s unwavering commitment to a recruitment framework grounded in fairness, efficiency, and meritocracy. His motivational address served to boost morale and reaffirmed the ethos of equal opportunity that underpins the Indian Army’s selection process.
The General Officer also undertook a rigorous review of the examination’s execution. He meticulously verified logistical arrangements, scrutinized the functionality of invigilation systems & validated candidate authentication mechanisms.
The visit by a senior military dignitary not only reflects the institutional emphasis on integrity and continuous improvement but also serves as a tangible demonstration of accountability within the recruitment apparatus.
The inspection concluded with a strong reaffirmation of the Indian Army’s resolve to sustain a just and transparent recruitment environment. The
evolving nature of the Agniveer entry scheme, bolstered by initiatives such as the Online CEE, illustrates the Army’s proactive approach in aligning its recruitment practices with modern technological standards and the aspirations of India’s youth.
