Lucknow: Acting on directives from the Uttar Pradesh Excise Department, the excise team in Lucknow carried out a major enforcement drive against the illegal sale and transportation of liquor, resulting in the seizure of 29.37 bulk litres of illicit foreign liquor and the arrest of one आरोपी.
The action was conducted under the guidance of the Joint Excise Commissioner, Lucknow Zone, and the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Lucknow, and led by the District Excise Officer, Lucknow. The raid was carried out in village Rusena within the Rahimabad police station limits.
During the search operation, the team recovered 135 bottles of illegal foreign liquor affixed with fake QR codes. Officials confirmed that the total seized quantity amounted to 29.37 bulk litres. The accused, identified as Ranjeet Yadav, was arrested on the spot, and a case has been registered against him at Rahimabad Police Station under relevant sections of law.

The enforcement team included Excise Inspectors Akhilesh Kumar (Area-2), Vivek Singh (Sector-5), Vijay Rathi (Sector-9), Shikhar Mall (Sector-6), and Abhishek Singh (Area-4), among other personnel who played an active role in the successful operation.
Police and excise authorities have appealed to the public to report any information regarding illegal liquor or suspicious activities to ensure law and order is maintained.
