Lucknow: The Managing Committee and Annual General Meeting of ACCI UP – UK was held in Rae Bareli. During the event, ACCI UP – UK President Engineer D.P. Singh announced that a grand event would be organized at the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj on January 31 and February 1, 2024. He highlighted that the event would focus on bringing together spirituality, enterprise, and robust foreign relations.
The Mahakumbh will witness the participation of over 100 countries, including spiritual research scholars, their ambassadors, high commissioners, and trade commissioners. ACCI UP – UK is actively working to present this event as a unique platform for spiritual engagement, business discussions, and strengthening international ties. Additionally, the government will provide extensive information on its industrial and trade policies, achievements, and the many steps being taken to improve the ease of doing business in Uttar Pradesh.
The foreign dignitaries are expected to stay for nearly a month, and the event aims to fulfill all three objectives: promoting spirituality, fostering enterprise, and enhancing international relations. The Chamber has been allocated a space in Sector 8 for the event.
At the meeting, the Management Committee and General Body discussed the Chamber’s achievements so far. The budget for the Chamber was passed unanimously, and consent was given for the election of new office bearers and members. The expansion of the organization and amendments to its name were also approved, with all proposals passing unanimously.
Members present at the meeting extended heartfelt congratulations for Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s accomplishments. Among the notable achievements so far is the Investors Summit held at Clarks Lucknow, where 40 ambassadors, high commissioners, trade commissioners, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, several ministers, and prominent entrepreneurs made important decisions.
Furthermore, industrial development opportunities were created with countries like Nepal, France, Austria, and more, while significant progress was made in sectors like tourism and culture.
On this occasion, Mukesh Bahadur Singh, Senior Vice President, was unanimously elected for government affairs. He assured full support for the Mahakumbh and other initiatives of the organization. Women’s Wing President, Kiran Singh, also shared her insights and pledged to increase female member participation and their active involvement in the Chamber.
Additionally, the Chamber is in the process of finalizing an agreement with Dubai to provide facilities for Hajj pilgrims.
The Chamber welcomed Senior Social Worker and Lions International Trainer, CA Saurabh Kant, and Senior Advocate, Social Worker, and Former Lions International District Chairperson, Lion Satish Srivastava, to the organization. All members expressed their happiness, and it was anticipated that their involvement would accelerate the Chamber’s activities.
