Bhopal: The Uttar Pradesh government is gearing up to make Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 a global celebration of Indian culture and unity. To promote the event and invite participation, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Agricultural Marketing, Dinesh Pratap Singh, led a grand roadshow in Bhopal.
During the event, the ministers extended invitations to Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, and the people of Madhya Pradesh to join the historic festival, which will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, on the sacred banks of the Sangam.
Transforming Mahakumbh into a Global Cultural Emblem
Speaking at a press conference, the ministers outlined comprehensive plans to make Mahakumbh 2025 a clean, safe, and technologically advanced experience. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the event aims to set new benchmarks in eco-friendliness and digital innovation.
- Eco-Friendly Initiatives:
- A complete ban on single-use plastic.
- Plantation of three lakh saplings.
- Enhanced Medical Services:
- A 100-bed hospital established at the Parade Ground.
- A dedicated medical team, including 291 MBBS and specialist doctors, 90 Ayurvedic practitioners, and 182 nursing staff, will provide round-the-clock care.
Digital Integration for an Immersive Experience
Digital technology will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims and tourists. Key innovations include:
- AI-powered chatbots available in 11 languages.
- QR-based entry passes and ICT-enabled cleanliness monitoring.
- Multilingual digital signage and navigation assistance through Google Maps.
- Smart parking facilities accommodating up to five lakh vehicles daily.
Upgraded Infrastructure
Prayagraj has undergone significant upgrades, including:
- Renovation of 35 ghats and construction of 9 new ghats.
- Development of a 15.25 km riverfront inspired by Mumbai’s Marine Drive.
- Advanced crowd management systems using control centers, CCTV surveillance, RFID wristbands, and attribute-based search systems.
