MahaKumbh Nagar – Maha Kumbh 2025 has emerged not only as a significant religious and spiritual event but also as a major platform for human welfare. Every day, large-scale free food distribution (bhandara), accommodation for devotees, blanket distribution, and services for differently-abled individuals are being actively carried out by various organizations in the mela (fair) area.
One such dedicated initiative is led by Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, which has been relentlessly working towards the welfare of the poor, needy, and differently-abled individuals. The organization is providing free tricycles, wheelchairs, crutches, and high-quality artificial limbs to the disabled. Additionally, it is ensuring proper arrangements for sacred dips in the Sangam (confluence of rivers), along with food and accommodation facilities at the Maha Kumbh.
Welfare Activities in Full Swing
Located in Sector 18, in front of Swami Avdheshanand Giri’s camp, the Narayan Seva Sansthan camp has been carrying out remarkable humanitarian work. So far, the organization has distributed approximately 50 tricycles and over 150 artificial limbs to differently-abled individuals. Many people are also benefiting from physiotherapy services offered at the camp. Religious events such as Bhagavad Katha and Ram Katha are being organized for devotees.
Speaking about the initiative, the International President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, Prashant Agarwal, emphasized the importance of high-quality artificial limbs, which are otherwise expensive in the market. The organization is providing them free of cost to the needy at Maha Kumbh. A dedicated 70-member team ensures the seamless execution of various welfare activities daily.
Target to Benefit Thousands of Devotees in 45 Days
Since Makar Sankranti on January 14, the organization has been actively distributing free food, clothing, and blankets to a large number of people at Maha Kumbh. Additionally, hundreds of individuals have been provided with free accommodation, supported by the contributions of generous donors. The organization is also facilitating thousands of devotees to take a sacred dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. The initiative aims to benefit thousands of devotees throughout the duration of the Maha Kumbh.
Training Along with Artificial Limb Distribution
According to Vandana Agarwal and Palak Agarwal, directors of the organization, they are not only providing artificial limbs but also offering proper training to the differently-abled individuals. Special care is being taken to measure and fit modular artificial legs and arms for individuals who have lost limbs due to accidents. The process is conducted entirely free of cost at MahaKumbh Nagar.
International President Prashant Agarwal expressed gratitude for the inspiration and blessings of Nirvani Peethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailash Ji Maharaj. He also mentioned that the opportunity to serve thousands of saints, ascetics, and devotees at the Maha Kumbh has been a deeply fulfilling experience. He believes that the Maha Kumbh will continue to spread positivity, energy, and pave the way for progress.
